●Application qualification●
A&B Section
Applicant must be age 18 or over by April 2, 2018.
Any Nationality and Gender is welcome.
Applicant should be amateur. Competitor who studied or currently study in music college/conservatory is not eligible. (except carrier before 18 years age. )
Applicant should be amateur. Competitor who studied or currently study music (not only piano but also any category) in music college/conservatory/music class in faculty of education of general university/college is not eligible.
The first prize winner of last year A section is not eligible.
Previous first prize winners of B section are not eligible in B section.

Senior Section
Applicant must be age 55 or over by April 2, 2017.
Any Nationality and Gender is welcome.
Applicant should be amateur. Competitor who studied or currently study in music college/conservatory is not eligible. (except carrier before 18 years age. )
The first prize winner of last year Senior Section is not eligible.

●Repertoire●
Section A
First Round piece can be repeated in Second Round, no works performed in First Round and / or Second Round to be repeated in Final Round.
All works must be memorized.

1) First Round: Piece of competitor’s choice, 3 to 5 minutes
2) Second Round:
(1) Fugue (3 voice or more, Book 1 No. 10 (2 voices) not allowed) from the Well-Tempered Clavier
by J. S. Bach
(2) work of competitor’s choice, total 8 to 10 minutes
3) Final Round:Work(s) of competitor’s choice, total 10 to 14 minutes (14-minute limit would be strictly
enforced)

Section B
Works may be repeated and do not need to be memorized

1) First Round: Work(s) of competitor’s choice, 3 to 5 minutes
2) Second Round: Work(s) of competitor’s choice, total 6 to 8 minutes
3) Final Round: Work(s) of competitor’s choice, total 8 to 12 minutes (12-minute limit would be strictly
enforced)

Senior Section
Work(s) do not need to be memorized
Work(s) of competitor’s choice, total 2 to 6 minutes


★Notes on Repertoire and Performance: All Sections
1. All works must have their scores published and publicly available.
2. Multiple works can be played in each round if the total performance duration does not exceed the duration limit specified above.
3. All works may be performed with or without repeats, at the competitor’s discretion
4.The order of performance of the works (if more than one in each round) must adhere to the order competitor specified in the application.
5. Jury has the right to interrupt the performance if the performance duration limit, without affecting the assessment. Competitors are advised to choose works for Final Round of Sections A & B to strictly meet the performance duration.

Senior Section: Commemorative Performance at the Award Ceremony on July 29, 2017 for the award recipients of the Highest Award and Outstanding Performance award

★Higher ranking Prize Winner for A and B Section Award:Performance at the Gala Concert on January 27th 2019.
★Criticism by jury will be sent by hand or post to competitors.
